A few of you have asked to see belly pics.  And, since it's Halloween I figure it's the perfect time to share them since they're quite frightful :D

I knew I liked black and white, but man, I didn't realize how much I wore it until now!

 

You know those really cute bey pics you see on Pinterest where the mom is really on top of things and takes them weekly, wearing similar clothing each time, and has the well planned out background.  Yeah, didn't happen here.  And I really wanted to be that mom this time.  I pretty much just took a photo whenever I was showered and wearing real clothes.  Apparently that doesn't happen that often around here, ha!

 

Bets are I won't even be able to fake smile my way through the discomfort by the time I take another photo.  I'm praying he isn't overdue like Izzy was.  I start my weekly appointments today.  I can't remember if they will start checking to see if there's any progression or not.  I'll keep you all updated when there is!

I can't wait to take Izzy trick or treating tonight.  That way I can raid her goodies after she falls asleep. 



campaign desk

I've just been given a campaign style desk that my dad used years ago when he first started selling real estate.  I've always loved this desk, and was beyond over the moon when it showed up at my house.  There was squealing when I first got the phone call, and then jumping up and down and clapping when it arrived, ha!

 

She's in pretty rough shape after all of these years, but boy do I have plans for her!

 There is definitely part of me that wants to re-stain it, but I've always loved the bright white lacquered versions.  Not sure what to do.  At least I've got plenty of time to think about it.

light bulb switcheroo

Yes, I'm actually devoting a post to switching out light bulbs. 

 

It's the little things that make me happy sometimes.  Kinda like when I purchased a new soap dispenser for my kitchen.  I swear I washed my hands more often that day than any other, just because I liked the smell of the new soap and looking at its pretty little glass dispenser.

 

Remember the chandelier I hung up in the dining room several months ago?

 

 

 

Well the poor thing was given the leftover bulbs from the old chandelier.  I know, the horror!!!  I kid, I kid.  But, I've been loving the look of the round bulbs instead of the typical tapered bulbs and finally remembered to pick some up while at the home improvement store.  It usually goes like this, "I've got to get this, this, this, and those stinking bulbs I forgot about last time."  Only to get to the car with my purchases, sans the bulbs AGAIN.

 

No longer!

 

I give you, my new bulbs.

 

 

I know, I know, it's really not that big of a deal.  But, I really think it looks so much better with those cute little round orbs, and now they mimic the drop on the bottom of the chandelier.

And just in case you're wondering, I've not pulled out the Christmas decoration since my last post.  But, I did get one step closer to finishing the basement bath.  I'll take a win when I can get it!

And, if I don't get Christmas decorations up this week or next, it will NEVER happen this year.  Ugh.  So far, all I have the energy for is to just stare at Pinterest for Christmas decor inspiration.  So, that's what you're getting today.  It just might be what I need to get me motivated.

Yep, my mind is definitely feeling motivated.  Body... well, maybe tomorrow ;)

 

We're suppose to have a couple of days this week of temps in the mid 80's.  I can't believe I'm already thinking Christmas.

 We have just under 2 weeks before the big night, and if you guys are anything like me, there's a few of you that are last minuters trying to come up with a costume idea for your little one.  That would be why most of Izzy's are handmade... not enough time to order anything!  So, today I though I'd share with you Izzy's past Halloween costumes.

 

 

 

Her butterfly costume was the only one I planned for way in advance.  It was purchased from Fairy Wonderful.  It was her first Halloween after all!  Oh, and it was very warm out the day I snapped those pics.  No babies were frozen during the photo snapping :)  Oh my gosh I'm totally having one of those, "I can't believe my baby has grown up so fast" moments right now.  **sniff, sniff**

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Her owl costume is probably my favorite costume so far.  I made it mostly based off of the Pottery Barn version.  And after all the blood, sweat, and tears... I can say it totally paid off in the end.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tinkerbell is Izzy's favorite costume so far, and she even asked to be Tink again this year.  Problem - there is NO WAY she is fitting back into that thing!  When I made it, I made the skirt too short.  That could have been fixed had I not been scrambling to put it together the day before, but where'e the fun in that, ha!  Now it's basically a shirt with a peplum... a shirt that no longer zips in the back.  It was cute while it lasted! 

 

I think we've finally decided on a costume for this year.  I've stopped asking her as it changes several times a day.  But, here are a few of the costumes we've discussed.
